Are You Our New Intern?
Shore — Creative is currently a one-woman operation, that at times outsources freelancers and printers in order to deliver projects that don’t compromise on quality, making us an extended collective. That’s about to change.
We are a multidisciplinary studio offering visual identity design, graphic design, illustration, art direction and web-development for the minimally inclined. Our designs are clean, honest and not without humor and humanity. We like to approach projects on a very intimate level, beginning with a deep dive into our client’s business and goals. This makes our approach heavily influenced by company comprehension, thoughtful interpretation and relentless rigor in listening.
We are now looking to bring on a design intern who can help us with a number of projects — ranging from furthering our own brand and administration efforts, to assisting in the design process of upcoming design projects.

This internship will allow you an opportunity to see, on an intimate level, how a small design office/freelance designer works. You’ll be able to understand the design project process from initiation to finish. This will allow you a unique perspective into how we work with clients, develop design ideas, and then translate those ideas to print and digital use. You will learn how to keep on top of ongoing projects, meet deadlines, formalize presentations, draft design contracts, provide design proofs for approval, self-promote, and tackle workflow. Furthermore, you’ll gain access to our philosophies on design and approach to creating assets that feel current but also timeless — a look we always strive for in all of our work. Depending on your talents and drive, there is the potential to be brought on for a paid position while we tackle some large projects we have lined-up for 2019. We can also guarantee a fun and welcoming work environment, complete with bottomless coffee and an office dog.
We feel passionately about design and really are seeking an individual with a matched love for the trade. We feel progressive about being less strict when it comes to your design education, so long as you have a solid foundation for the basics of the required software skills and are willing to learn how we work. We also hope to integrate a few design related outings that we’d like like to treat you to, i.e. lectures, gallery showings, documentary screenings, etc. We’re open to suggestions!
